During WWII the Goodearl factories were requisitioned by the government however one warehouse continued building furniture and in this case snowshoes for the war effort

This led to the design which became the Flexible Flyer with “super steering”-a sled with a pair of laterally flexible runners attached to the frame in a way that permitted them to be bent sideways to a great extent and with little effort

Ash touring model ridgetop skis made for Spalding Sports with original metal badges and Northland bindings. This model was the pinnacle of 40s era design with copper tail rivits for added protection and balance. Wonderfully preserved with remnants of old Northland Co. silver wax on the bottoms with original stamp.
