Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised leftward facing profile of Grand Duke Friedrich August, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of FR TREUE IN DER ARBEIT (FOR FAITHFUL LABOUR), unmarked, measuring 30. 07 mm in diameter, weighing 12. 0
