This white and orange Jadeite comes from Guatemala and was found in ancient scrap heaps from where the ancient Mayans would chip it off to extract the blue green jade for tools and adornment

Countless artifacts have been discovered at most of the Mayan archeological sites in Guatemala, Belize and MexicoWhen the Spanish conquistadors arrived the location of the mine was hidden and then forgotten under the dense jungle floor! It is in fact Jadeite like the Jade from Myanmar and very prized pieces are translucent.
