A Legion Of Honor And Crimea Medal To “Captaine Marty”, C. 1855 Archive Footnote: The eagle has theLegion of Honor (Type VI, La Presidence, 1851 1852), a silver Maltese Cross with white enamelled arms and ball finials, with green enamelled arms in each quadrant, the obverse medallion in Gold presents a right facing portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte, surrounded by the inscription NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS in a dark blue enamelled ring, the reverse medallion in Gold presenting an eagle on the reverse, surrounded by the inscription HONNEUR ET PATRI,
