A Spanish Royal Military Order Of Saint Ferdinand In Gold 1830-1840 Newly Listed marked STERLING SILVER and makerA Spanish Royal Military Order of Saint Ferdinand in Gold 1830 1840 Officer; Gold and enamels, weighing 9. 4 grams, unmarked, 39. 2 mm x 43. 7 mm, enamel repair evident on the obverse centrepiece and two arms, better than very fine. Footnote: The Order was founded by the Cortes on August 31, 1811 and awarded for military bravery. After the return and restoration of King Ferdinand VII in 1814, all laws passed by the Cortes in his absence were revoked.
