The unit was surrendered by an Army General and subsequently captured by enemy forces on May 6

The front and rear visor stitching looks to be fully intact

This is a superb embroidered breast eagle from a German WWII Luftwaffe (Air Force) Combat Uniform. Cut out with background wool backing, which measures approximately 4" x 2. 75". On the rear you can see that the eagle is sewn to blue gray Luftwaffe color wool, with some of the canvas sleeve reinforcement on the edge as well. There is a bit of wear and age toning, but otherwise it is a great example. Ready to display!
