Antique French Bronze Ormolu Pediment STONEWARE INK BOTTLE 8") long x 15A stunning antique ormolu brass pediment with a lovely timeworn patina. Gorgeous decorative scrolls and floral design. Ormolu is a gold coloured alloy of copper, zinc, and tin used in decoration and making ornaments. These beautiful pediments may have been used as decorative pieces in furniture and mirrors in the late 18th century, in grand homes and chateaus. If the furniture was damaged, these pieces were often removed and kept or used elsewhere.
