Anhalt, Duchy. A Friedrich Cross Hold original ribbon with broach on(Friedrich Kreuz). Instituted 12 December 1914 by Duke Friedrich II. (1914 1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse bearing a wreathed monogram of Duke Friedrich II, topped by a crown and situated above a date of 1914, the reverse bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE (FOR MERIT IN WAR), unmarked, measuring 37. 26 mm (w) x 42. 24 mm (h), weighing 10.
