These are not uncommon and usually regarded as Trade Pistols, however these are precisely what were supplied to the HUDSON BAY COMPANY that traded furs etc in the North and Canada. This particular example is rather nice that it has an openwork brass side plate, all brass mounts including a skull crushing Butt Cap. The flintlock plate is marked KETLAND & CO. and the brass barrel is marked LONDON on the top, along with
