Vickers Fusee and Chain Assembly Hand Select:Yes Early tents used brass buttonsOriginal Item: What the devil, you may ask, is a fusee? On the Vickers gun and all other guns of the Maxim family, it is simply a lever attached to the crank inside the receiver and to the recoil spring on the left exterior of the receiver. It includes a short bicycle like chain that connects the lever to the spring, and wraps around the lever when the operating parts are in recoil. These are very hard to find and IMA has only a few.
