This is a heavily service used original U. S. RT 196 PRC 6 radio receiver transmitter, commonly known as the AN PRC 6 handie talkie. Developed during the early post WWII period and introduced during the Korean War era, the PRC 6 remained in limited U. S. military service into the Vietnam War. This example retains its original flexible antenna and rear carrying strap, both of which are frequently missing. The AN PRC 6
