Constructed of bakelite with a brown and and silver finish, the obverse bearing an HJ Proficiency Badge, situated above an inscription of SPORTWETTKMPFE DER HJ 1939 GEB. SALZBURG (SPORT COMPETITION OF THE HJ 1939 SALZBURG DISTRICT), the reverse with a vertical pinback, maker marked RICHARD SIEPER & SHNE, LDENSCHEID, with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code M9 23 for the same, measuring 25 mm (w) x
