The jacket is in fantastic shape and may be French-made

The tunic has two pleated patch breast pockets with straight edged button down flaps and two unpleated hip pockets with similar button down flaps

On the outside of the leather liner band is S Michel in black ink or paint which stained the leather

It does not look to have seen any real use since it was sharpened

This is an very nice late war "last ditch" issue example of the classic Type 92 Tetsubo (鉄帽 - "steel cap")
