Trautvetteria caroliniensis var japonica Dracunculus the 20" tall x 36"(aka: Trautvetteria japonica) Trautvetteria caroliniensis var. japonica is the Asian counterpart to our East Coast US native false bugbane. Growing in cold regions of northern Japan, this thalictrum relative is found colonizing wetland areas. The slowly stoloniferous rhizomes give rise to serrate green basal leaves, topped from early summer through fall with 2' tall stalks, ending in a corymbs of white thalictrum like frothy flowers. A well grown
