which had the rim crack off at some point

The lenses on the mask are dated 1941

This is a lovely piece of film history, a full scale rubber replica . 30 Caliber Ammunition Box as used in the 2001 Series Band of Brothers. This would have been a "background" used box and not a close up camera version. The canister measures roughly 10 x 3 x 7 tall and is marked REEVES over U. S. and a Flaming bomb on the side. The handle does not function. A great show prop. Comes ready for further research and display.
