This SS Miniature Letter Opener measures about 8 inches in overall length. It is identical to the example pictured on page 667 of Wittmanns book Exploring The Dress Daggers Of The German SS. The hilt of this example is a single piece aluminum casting. The grip portion is painted black and the guards are left in their natural state. The black painted grip shows some wear here and there, but about 70% remains intact.
