Original British Late Victorian Horse Hoof Inkwell named to “CAVALIER” - Dated 18th October 1897 Crimean War but we do know itOriginal Item: One of a Kind. Is it only Englishmen who care so much for their dogs and their horses? Here is a typical Victorian Officer's Military Inkwell made out of his horse's hoof. It is faintly engraved on the top : CAVALIER 18th OCT 1897. A fine Charger's Fore Hoof, mounted in very nicely decorated Silver plated nickel mounts. The top has a hinged hatch to top opening to reveal a glass inkwell with white metal mounts. Silver plating overall
