This Regiment, the 22nd County of London formerly the 3rd Volunteer Battalion of the Queen's 2nd Regiment received its colors on June 19th, 1909 at Windsor Castle from King Edward VII. The Regiment saw service throughout WWI both on the western front, Festubert 1915, Messines and Ypes 1917 and in the Middle East in Jerusalem and Jordon. The Regiment was renamed 6th Queens in 1938.
