A medal bar featuring seven decorations in 1957 version, including a Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with red enameled arms, the obverse bearing a central black Federal Republic style German national eagle, unmarked, measuring 54. 44 mm (w) x 57. 03 mm (h), in
