Stephens was Killed in Action and his trunk full of belongings was shipped home to his family where it remained largely undisturbed until recently coming to the market

Measures 16 1/2 inches overall with an 11 1/2 inch long curved blade

so we were not able to locate the maker markings

The flag measures approximately 36" x 27"

The first unit went to France in 1918
