to re-grow to 12' tall x 18' wide the following summer
and the fall the floral show is nothing short of spectacular
each ending with a pinkie-sized burgundy tip
which is then surrounded by a dramatic creamy white border
Asarum arifolium St Clair Malvaviscus This 2010 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction(aka: Hexastylis arifolia) Asarum arifolium 'St. Clair' is a unique clonal selection of the US native Asarum arifolium that we discovered in 2006 in St. Clair County, Alabama. Asarum 'St. Clair' forms a very vigorous, 6" tall x 1' wide clump of anise scented, heart shaped, evergreen foliage, highlighted by prominent silver leaf patterns. The floral show, which is tucked under the leaves, starting for us in February, is one of the most dense we've seen
