Hesse-Darmstadt. An Order Of Philip The Magnanimous, Silver Cross, C.1910 Hold constructed of dark green (Flaschengrün)(Orden Philips den Gromtigen, Silbernes Kreuz). A silver cross pattee with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central light blue enameled medallion depicting the rightward facing outline of Philip in silver gilt, surrounded by a white ring of enamels, inscribed SI DEUS NOBISCUM QUIS CONTRA NOS (Latin "If God is with us, who shall be against us?"); the reverse with a central light blue enameled medallion with a silver gilt Hessian lion, surrounded by a
