Aconitum carmichaelii Fansi Pansi Gaura resembling plates of sauteed yellowAconitum carmichaelii 'Fansi Pansi' has been an exceptional garden performer in our summer heat since 1999, growing in average to dry loamy soils. This seed strain is a Dan Hinkley introduction from his collection (HWJ99732) at 5,000' elevation on Vietnam's Fansipan Mountain in Lo Cai Province. From a basal rosette, the 4. 5' tall stalks shoot upward, ending with a show of terminal clusters of blue lavender flowers that start for us in mid October.
