"The Gun that Won the West!" This fine rifle is in . 38 40 caliber (marked very faintly with . 38 W. C. F. on the chamber) with a 24" octagonal barrel and full length magazine tube. Features the classic front sight and iconic aftermarket "buckhorn" rear adjustable sight. The serial number is 315967B denoting the year of manufacture as 1889. The engraving on the top of the barrel is clear, with just a bit of corrosion
