Simmons & Co. of Boston ERA The fencepost was acquired fromOriginal Item: One Of A Kind: This particular sword, identified as an M1860, is a lovely Indian Wars era manufacture with a rare fold down guard & etched blade, manufactured by G. W. Simmons & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. Although it is an edged weapon, this post war version of the M1860 sword was primarily intended for use in ceremonies. The blade, measuring 31 inches in length, is straight, double edged, and has a diamond shaped cross section. The
