A white enamel Leopold cross paty superimposed on an eight rayed star, the central medallion bears the image of a left facing marching soldier, the medallion is encompassed by a pearled border and two upwards facing crossed swords lay behind the medallion, the reverse bears a vertical pinback and the inscription Deutsches Feld Ehrenzeichen (German Field Honour), the makers mark GES GESCH Hamburg 11, measuring 52. 47 mm
