This is relic condition WWII German Schutzstaffel (SS) EM NCO's Steel Belt Buckle (Koppelschlo), with a short section of the original leather belt. This was dug out of the ground years after WWII, and definitely suffered much oxidation and subsequent loss of material, giving it a fantastic "ground dug" look. The buckle was originally embossed with a high relief, embossed, central motif pattern consisting of an SS
