This is a very nice example straight out of the family home where it was displayed for almost 150 years. Dated 1864 and maker marked C. ROBY, W. CHELMSFORD, MASS. on the 32" curved blade, sword measures 37. 5" overall. Brass "D" guard enclosing brass wire bound leather hand grip. Complete with curved all steel scabbard with two hanging rings. This sword shows little use and absolutely no rust staining or pitting.
