Spain, Franco Period. An Order of Military Merit. II. Class Breast Star, c. 1935 Newly Listed 25th August(Cruces del Mrito Militar). Instituted August 3rd, 1864. (1931 1939 issue). An eight pointed multi faceted star with a large white enameled gilded Greek Cross with fleur de lys in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central emblem bearing the coat of arms of Castile, Len, Aragon, Navarre, and Granada, topped by a gilt bar shield to bear the date of bestowal (blank) topped by a Royal Crown decorated with red enameled
