Vajra, Dolcetto D’Alba, Coste e Fossatti 2019 Napa Valley The fruit was super cleanFor the love of tradition and terroir, Aldo Vaira made the unusual choice to preserve very old Dolcetto vines planted in DOCG Barolo vineyards of Coste & Fossati vineyards high above the town of Barolo. Highly unusual indeed because had he torn up the 100 year old vines and planted Nebbiolo, the vineyard would bring in much more money. Instead, he left the gnarled vines to produce one of the finest Dolcetto available. Extremely low yielding,
