it has held up well over the years and still serves its purpose admirably

The metalwork on the rifle still shows areas of the original blued finish on the barrel and hardware

The 1944 matched leg/ankle gaiters are in wonderful condition and add a lovely appearance to the boots while displayed

This is a lovely classic Army Officer's "Dove Head" Sword, made by the well known firm of Alcoso Werke in Solingen, Germany, complete with the correct steel scabbard. This piece is also a real treasure as it is not constructed from the later war aluminum, but rather is made of solid brass, which was originally fully gilt. All of the details are still there, however cleaning has removed most of the original gilding,
